A new study titled ‘Application of digital twins for simulation based tailoring of laser induced graphene’ has outlined the impact of digital twins on Laser-Induced Graphene (LIG) in electronic devices. 

The research found that digital twins provide accurate control over the process, optimizing the fabrication procedure more efficiently. Similarly, the use of predictive modeling in fabrication improved precision. Likewise, the research found that real-time collaboration can improve this in the future. 

Although the study focused on the LIG fabrication of a polyimide substrate, the researchers found that digital twins can be effective in various situations, and the methodology can be applied to other materials with multiple laser setups.
