The Revolutionary Digital Replica of the United States Air Force in Contemporary Warfare

-

As reported by the Wall Street Journal (WSJ), the United States Air Force has developed a digital twin named Model One to simulate military scenarios.

The digital twin will integrate around 50 military simulations into one system as a tool for warfare.

Digital twins, as outlined by WSJ, can be used to predict certain militarized situations, acting as an effective tool in predictive modeling. Due to the seemingly rapid escalation of conflict globally, digital twins are more important than ever in keeping nations safe.

Co-op-ed by the former CEO of Google, Eric Schmidt, and Will Roper, the piece explores the role Model One will play in global warfare dynamics and how it compares to other applications. The announcement of Model One by the United States Air Force comes as little surprise as states worldwide increasingly use technology to advance their military capabilities. Digital Twins are becoming an effective tool in this strategy.
