-

According to Ontario Construction News, the Ontario government is using digital twins in infrastructure projects.

The government is investing $5 million to build digital twins to enhance worker safety and operational efficiency. Currently, the project will use digital twins in the following development: Ontario Place, Peter Gilgan Mississauga Hospital, and the Eglinton Crosstown West expansion.

Digital twins are being used to mitigate utility conflicts and ensure all issues are ironed out before these projects develop. The Ontario Government is optimistic about using digital twins to improve the speed of projects, all in a cost-effective way.
